The healthcare community is once again facing trials created by the COVID-19 virus. While our frontline team members continue to care for our community, we must also review the mandates set by our elected leaders.
On May 18th, 2021, Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order prohibiting government entities from mandating mask wearing. The leaders of our organization have tremendous respect for Governor Abbott along with the other elected officials who represent their constituents.
As a healthcare provider, Monticello Health Services is committed to providing the safest environment possible for our patients. We will continue to require face masks at all our clinics in addition to encouraging social distancing and good hand hygiene. As the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention update their opinion of the situation, we will of course adapt our policies.
Thank you for allowing us to care for you and your loved ones. We will always put the needs of our patient’s and community first.
